Dear Future Me,

Believe in yourself.

Do not falter when you are the only voice of reason.

Stand by your convictions.

Remember where you came from.

Remember what shaped you into the person you are now.

Never give up.

people that try to invalidate skinny shaming by saying fat shaming is the only and most important problem need to go somewhere because you’re not helping anybody and you look ignorant as fuck. You’re basically saying “nobody who’s gone through anorexia has even been frowned upon because of it. In fact skinny people with eating disorders aren’t even real.” Like do you see how dumb you sound??? Stop trying to erase one problem to elevate the importance of another that’s not how this shit works

'Skinny shaming' is indeed real. People, male and female, are often faced with disgusting remarks about their weight if or when they have an eating disorder - Anorexic or obese. Shockin', really.

i have…

Okay but just because it’s not as prominent doesn’t mean it does not exist. There are literally tons and tons of examples of skinny shaming, even in reality TV. Both of them are a problem, and you’re not helping the situation by completely trying to invalidate the other one.

I Thought I Was Mad When I Saw How Many Abortion Clinics They Have. Then I Saw The Gun Dealers. (via Upworthy)
In Septemeber 2014, Missouri lawmakers decided women must wait 72 hours to “reflect on their decision” before they can get an abortion. ‘Cause, ya know, an abortion is one of those spur-of-the-moment decisions like ordering pay-per-view or having another glass of wine. And what about cases of rape, incest, or medical complications? Well, they have to wait 72 hours too.
On its own, this is pretty upsetting. But when you consider how easy it is to get one of those shiny metal things used to take people’s lives? That’s when the blinding rage sets in.
